What started as a crack in the Rawene Road carpark progressed into a couple of major slips, the loss of a significant number of carparks for the Birkenhead Town Centre, substantial loss of bush, the wiping out of a tradescantia beetle trial, and finger-pointing over who knew about the instability of the land. Work to remediate the carpark continues and is due to finish in April 2019. Read more below:
