Due to the failure of the grandstand and limited lifespan of the swimming pool at Birkenhead War Memorial Park, the Kaipatiki Local Board has initiated a masterplan project for the entire park, and secured $23 million from council (subject to a business case). Stay tuned for updates on the future of the grandstand and pool, as well as events in the park, including Movies in Parks and the ANZAC Day service:
