You may have seen the scaffolding at Birkenhead Library. This is in place so that the vertical louvres and soffits can be re-oiled, as they were starting to weather. As the playground is directly below the scaffolding, it is temporarily closed.

Work is expected to be completed in about 2 weeks (depending on weather).
