The Kaipātiki Local Board has approved the design of the long-awaited Windy Ridge Reserve playground!
Physical works are expected to begin in February, with the playground expected to be open in March.

The new playground will be situated around the trees and include a treehouse adventure course; pergola swings and basket swing; climbing hut; hammock; nature trail with balance beams, windmill poles, boulders, and stepping logs.
The park will be fenced with gates (rather than just the playground like now). There will also be a picnic area with BBQ, tables and shadesail; community library; new path through the park; new trees; and space for a community-led garden.
