Auckland Transport continues to downgrade suburban roads to loose chipseal. The following roads (or portions of roads) will be resealed as chipseal over the coming weeks:
- Chippendale Crescent: 3-5 days during the period of Wednesday 27 January – Wednesday 10 February
- Fowler Street: 3-5 days during the period of Thursday 28 January – Thursday 11 February
- Gretel Place: 3-5 days during the period of Thursday 28 January – Thursday 11 February
- James Evans Drive: 3-5 days during the period of Thursday 28 January – Thursday 11 February
- Moore Street: 3-5 days during the period of Wednesday 27 January – Wednesday 10 February
- Mountbatten Ave: Fowler Street: 3-5 days during the period of Thursday 28 January – Thursday 11 February
- Tudward Glade: 3-5 days during the period of Friday 29 January – Friday 12 February
Working hours are 7am-7pm, Monday-Saturday.One day prior to work starting, cones and no parking signs will be placed along the site and remain in place until work is complete.
From Auckland Transport: “Road resealing works involves laying a new chipseal layer on the existing road surface, sweeping the excess chip, and installing new line marking to the finished road surface.Excess chip will be swept within 2 working days of sealing and will be followed by line marking. Please park off street and away from the work area until these works are completed.Drivers please be advised that excessive speed, sharp turns, and heavy braking can damage the new surface.Pedestrians are asked to inspect/remove their footwear to avoid tracking emulsion or chip into vehicles or dwellings.
