Here’s a little bit of positive news: This week the Kaipatiki Local Board approved the concept plan for a new path in Onepoto Domain, away from the pond edge (see attached plan). The current path is often unusable due to flooding.

There will be a new connection to the picnic area and existing path/pond wall. The northern-most portion of the existing path will be replaced with plantings as this is the most flooded part.
The project is now going into the detailed design and consenting phases, before physical works begin (date to be confirmed).
