Update on Normanton Reserve, Glenfield:

• Today the Kaipatiki Local Board gave the final sign-off for replacing the current basketball court and half-court with a new standard size basketball court and replacement of the existing skatedot with a modern version (both expected to be completed by end of June, if no delays).
• Great news that the missing drinking fountain has finally been installed!
• “Road markings” are now painted on the pathway for little bikes and scooters.
• The new green slide on the hill is currently blocked off for work, and I’ve requested an update on why.
• The daylighting of the underground stream at the southern end of the park is now scheduled to begin in October 2020.
