Introducing Shore Action candidate and current member of the Kaipātiki Local Board, Paula Gillon!

“Kia Ora, as a current member of the Kaipatiki Local Board, and having proudly served this community, I am seeking re-election.
Working as your Local Board representative I have: fought asset sales; supported and advocated for increased spending on our environment; obtained funding for a new toddler/pre-school playground; delivered shadesails over playgrounds; supported the Marae development at Shepherds Park; and, succeeded in having the Five Ways to Wellbeing included in our strategic plans.
I want to continue to work to: protect and enhance our communities assets; improve our bush tracks; expand pest-free initiatives; progress a beautiful coastal walkway; and, bring AT decision-making back to the Local Board.
I have an MPhil in Public Policy in Local Government and active recreation. I grew up in the area and live in Beach Haven with my husband and two boys.”

Shore Action is standing 6 strong members for the Kaipātiki Local Board and we’ll be profiling them here. Stay tuned to meet the rest of our team.
