An 8th Queensland Fruit Fly has been trapped, this time in Birkenhead Point. There are now two Zone As (red zones). The boundaries of Zone B (yellow zone) have extended West into Chatswood.
To manage the new find, Biosecurity New Zealand and Industry partners have escalated operational activities to include a baiting programme to manage the unwanted pest.
