For the last couple of years, the Kaipatiki Local Board​ has been funding a successful education & inspection programme to prevent pollution into our streams from businesses. Previously the programme has worked with businesses on Enterprise St, Birkenhead, and the Bay Park Pl/Kahika Rd industrial area in Beach Haven.
This past year, the programme has moved to Wairau Valley businesses where it is gaining a positive response and helping to clean up the waterways that lead to Milford Beach. We will soon be discussing extending this programme into the next financial year. #CleanStreams
