It’s really disappointing that an important pedestrian bridge for Birkdale Intermediate and Birkenhead College students has been destroyed by arson.

The Fordham St to Lanigan St bridge is beyond repair and currently being demolished and investigated. I’ll help push for this to be replaced as soon as possible, but realistically, it will likley be some time.

In the meantime, there are alternative walking routes via Mirage Place or Woodhams St, but they are a fair bit longer.
