There is a sign permitting dog access but does that mean dogs can run around without being on a leash because far too many dog walkers were doing just that 6/1/2021 at 12..45pm. I am certain these dog handlers who had 4-5 and more animals would be able to control them and the dogs were getting annoying, loud, and intimidating. The handlers were females who would be hard pressed to control 1 dog let alone 5!
Hi Suzanne. Dogs are allowed off-leash at Kauri Point Domain and at the beach, but only if they are kept under control, such as voice control. However to the north at Soldiers Bay, they must be on-leash from 10am to 5pm from 1 December to 1 March (summer). Cheers 🙂
