Earlier this week I came across Auckland Libraries‘ new “Tamariki Van” at Coyle Park, offering a Books in Parks service for Kids. Books can be read in the park, or borrowed to read later. I think it’s a great idea, so I’ve requested that it visits the North Shore and have put them in touch with the Kaipatiki Community Facilities Trust to see if we can get the van to attend some of the Summer Fun events in our parks, and perhaps our up-coming Movies in Parks or Kids Music in Parks events 🙂
