If you’re walking down the bottom part of Colonial Road to explore Chelsea Estate Heritage Park or heading to the new Chelsea Bay cafe this Summer, please be aware that a temporary alternative route via the end of Rawene Road has been signposted (green line). While this route is longer and not suitable for prams or wheelchairs, it has been marked out because the bottom part of Colonial Road is not safe or suitable for pedestrians (red dotted line), and the direct track connection over the bridge (orange line) has been closed for some time due to a slip.
