Have your say on proposed changes to Cadness Loop Reserve, Northcote:
As part of the Northcote redevelopment, Council is proposing a land swap for part of Cadness Loop Reserve, which is the “island” park in the looped part of Cadness Street (not Cadness Reserve behind the library).
The proposal would mean a change to the shape of the park, and an increase in size from 1756m2 to 3215m2. See the attached pictures for the current park boundary and the proposed park boundary.

The Kaipatiki Local Board supports this change, as it will provide a larger and better park with improved connection into the future Northcote Greenway, and beyond into the surrounding schools and town centre. If the proposal goes ahead, the local board will then also consider a new name for the reserve, to reflect that the new configuration is no longer the centre of a road loop.
