Kaipātiki Local Board Chair John Gillon says he pleased to see the works completed ahead of Christmas.
“The lead up to Christmas is a critical time for retailers and shoppers, so we’re very pleased that this fantastic new public space is ready to be enjoyed over the coming summer.”
“We’re also happy that the project was able to incorporate the Norfolk Pine into the design and that it has been delivered on time and within budget,” he says.
“I’d like to thank all our local businesses and residents for their patience and understanding during construction.”
“We’re pleased to see these works completed and look forward to car parking being reinstated at the Rawene Road carpark next year.”
