The Kaipatiki Local Board has been asked to provide feedback on the following bus stop changes. If you have any comments, please post them below and I will pass them on.
As part of a wider AT project to improve bus stops facilities in Auckland, bus stop upgrades are proposed for Lauderdale Road, Eskdale Road and Verbena Road, Birkdale.
These bus stops will service the 933 bus route (Beach Haven Wharf, Lauderdale Road, Verbena Road, Highbury, Onewa Road, Customs Street, University of Auckland, Monday to Friday).
The proposed changes are listed below and on the attached maps:
ATPTO 2851 – Outside No. 80 Lauderdale Road, Birkdale
- Remove existing bus stop sign
ATPTO 2852 – Outside No. 62 Lauderdale Road, Birkdale
- Shift bus stop (head of bus stop is currently on a driveway)
- New No Stopping At All Times road markings at both ends of bus stop
- Widen footpath to 1.8m next to bus stop
ATPTO 2853 – Outside No. 55 Lauderdale Road, Birkdale
- Shorten bus stop
- New No Stopping At All Times road markings at rear of bus stop
- Widen footpath to 1.8m next to bus stop
ATPTO 2854 – Outside No. 72 Eskdale Road, Birkdale
- Shorten bus stop
- New No Stopping At All Times road markings at both ends of bus stop
- Widen footpath to 1.8m next to bus stop
