Parts of the Eskdale Reserve/Birkenhead Domain main track has been closed today as the project to upgrade the tracks to wooden boardwalk continues (yellow section 2 on map). Some of the feeder tracks have also been closed to prevent access to the main track.
Today a helicopter dropped off 16 tonnes of wood for the project. Pictured are supervisor Scott Jones and Scott Paul who worked on upgrading the Brunton Place track and are excited to get stuck into this stretch.
The tracks will be closed for several months while work is underway.
