Three years after it was built, the “Verrans Island” roundabout is finally going to be planted properly Work will be carried out on Monday (weather permitting).
As there is no irrigation, poor soil and lack of depth, the plants that have been chosen are a mixed bed of Rengarenga Lilies (Arthropodium sp.) with an outer border edging of Coprosma “Hawera”. This will provide an innovative display of soft green lilies contrasted with the orange stems of the Coprosma.
Thanks so much to Ventia for following through on a promise to get this sorted for the community
