Don’t blame the trees Vector!

Yes, trees will always fall during storms and cause damage to roofs and block roads, but decades of under-investment in undergrounding powerlines is the real cause of widespread powercuts. If the lines were underground, then trees wouldn’t be able to touch them. And as a bonus, Vector wouldn’t need to spend so much time and effort mutilating their branches and weakening their structures.
When was the last time powerlines were undergrounded on the North Shore when not piggybacking off a Council project? 😡
