Attached are some of the slides from a presentation that the Kaipatiki Local Board received today on the plans for Greenslade Reserve to enable it to cope with increased stormwater. Some of the changes include lowering the sportsfield and upgrading it to a sand & gravel trench surface, daylighting the northern end of the park which will form part of the Awataha Greenway, which will follow the alignment of the original stream through Northcote, improving public space.
The design has not been signed off by the Local Board yet, but the indicative timeframe is for construction to begin October 2019 until June 2020.
