We’ve had a rollercoaster of weather the last 48 hours. Hopefully everyone has made it through OK with minimal damage.

Last night’s thunderstorm was epic and very loud. Fortunately the amount of rain wasn’t as much as it could have been.

The storm caused a substantial power cut across much of the local area during the night. Vector repaired it very quickly, but there are still some pockets of outages (Dan Bidois reports that Aeroview/Amelia should be repaired tomorrow).

There were two thunderstorm alerts sent out to phones today, however the storm didn’t hit the North Shore.

Now there is a moderate risk of thunderstorm for tomorrow (Sun) afternoon/evening.
