Best wishes to our colleague and friend Adrian “Mr T” Tyler who has stepped down from the Kaipātiki Local Board in order to concentrate on his teaching career.

Adrian has been on the Local Board since 2016 and made a huge contribution to the board and shaping decisions. He has been a consistent advocate for simplifying council processes, making council a more responsive organisation to the community and being an advocate for the Birkenhead area, transport, environmental groups, youth and Māori matters.

Today the Local Board members decided to fill the vacancy by appointing Raymond Tan, who was the next highest-polling candidate at the 2022 election. Raymond will be a valuable member of the team and will be sworn onto the Local Board at our meeting on 19 March 2025.
