Willow Park is one of 7 schools that has been selected to trial changes to drop-off and pick-up rules around schools to improve safety.
The draft plan includes lowering speeds to 30kmh in surrounding streets, creating designated drop-off/pick-up points away from the school entrances, and new road markings and wayfinding signs.
The plan was presented to today’s Kaipatiki Local Board public workshop, but is subject to changes from school feedback. It is hoped that the final approved plan will go ahead as a trial next term.
